Champagne Monthuys (Champagne blend)
Monthuys Pere et Fils is a family-owned Champagne maker in the village of Charly sur Marne, located on the west side of the Marne Valley. The vineyards boast a dry, sunny, south/south east orientation. The proximity of the Marne River (the longest river in France, which flows east of Paris) creates a temperate microclimate which prevents frosts during the winter and allows better maturation for the grapes during the summer. Clay and limestone soil. With a pale yellow color the noise reveals a bouquet of apple, peach and pear. In mouth, this Champagne is well balanced and interlaced with vinous aromas and fruits, supported by a good structure.
Tasting notes: A pleasing Champagne, round, fruity and finally honeyed.
Pair with: Parmigiano-Reggiano / Fromager d'Affinois
